Accepting Nomination for Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal Award
At the invitation of the Government of Alberta, Somali Canadian Society of Calgary is honoured to accept nominations for the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal awards for outstanding community leaders.
The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta) has been created to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Late Majesty’s accession to the throne as Queen of Canada. To celebrate this historic event, the Medal recognizes outstanding service from Albertans who have dedicated themselves to family, community and country. The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal will be awarded to 7,000 Albertans throughout 2022 in recognition of significant contributions to the province.
Somali Canadian Society of Calgary has been allocated 5 medals to nominate recipients for. This represents a wonderful opportunity for you to recognize community leaders who have made a significant on promoting and building a strong community al all. Nominees/nominators do not need to be members of SCSC, nor do they need to be affiliated with the organization.
Nomination Form
Somali Canadian Society of Calgary will accept nominations until Monday Oct 31, 2022
One form per nominee is required. All information provided will be held confidentially until the nominee has been accepted . At that time, the information may be published publicly by the province of Alberta. Once approved by the province, SCSC will contact all successful award recipients.
These awards will be presented in a private ceremony at the Somali Canadian Society of Calgary on the evening of Nov 19, 2022
