at Somali Canadian Society of Calgary changes the lives of youth on their path to graduation and strong future by providing free tutoring to students who need additional academic support on a wide range of subjects.
This program is more than a homework club. It is a place for students to connect with friends and with supportive adults, a place to feel safe and comfortable while receiving mentoring in life skills, career and post-secondary educational opportunities.
This homework after school program is also designed to help children develop social skills. The programs are built on the principles of respect, inclusivity, and engagement, so the youth can develop strong and healthy relationships with their peers and adults.
Schedule of homework Club aligns with the School year Calendar and runs from 1st August to 1st June each year.
