Farah Ali is a seasoned Executive Leader with deep-rooted expertise spanning the not-for-profit, government, and IT sectors. As the Executive Director of the Somali Canadian Society of Calgary (SCSC) and the former Executive Director and co-founder of the Calgary African Community Collective (CACC), he has been a driving force in fostering community integration and socio-economic empowerment for newcomers across the region.
His strategic influence extends to the provincial and municipal levels, where he serves as a member of Alberta’s inaugural Black Advisory Council and sits on the Calgary Police Service Black Advisory Board, advising leadership on critical policies and systemic barriers. With a professional foundation in Information Technology and computer networks, Farah brings a modern, data-driven approach to community advocacy and organizational scaling.
A recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, he is widely recognized for his distinguished service and his unwavering commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable Alberta.
