East African Student Graduation Event in Calgary

Calgary, June 18, 2023— A jubilant atmosphere filled the venue as the Somali Canadian Society of Calgary joined hands with the Action 4 Humanity Development Foundation to host a remarkable graduation event honoring East African students in Calgary. This momentous occasion not only marked academic achievements but also showcased the commitment of both organizations to nurturing education and empowering the next generation.

The event, held in Calgary brought together students, families, community leaders, and supporters to celebrate the academic milestones of East African graduates. The highlight of the evening was the announcement that up to 10 students were being awarded $1,000 in scholarship grants, a generous initiative aimed at supporting these bright minds in their pursuit of higher education.

During the ceremony, representatives from both organizations commended the students for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence. The scholarships, each valued at $1,000, were awarded to students who demonstrated not only academic prowess but also a strong commitment to community service and leadership.
