Our Story
Founded in 2001, the Somali Canadian Society of Calgary stands as a non-profit community-based organization specifically designed to cater to the needs of Somali immigrants and refugees in Calgary. Our steadfast commitment revolves around consistently addressing the diverse needs of Somali Canadians and other immigrants in Calgary and the surrounding areas. Our focus spans across integration, education, health, housing, psychological support, cultural preservation, and socio-economic well-being. Through a combination of programs, services, and advocacy efforts, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families within our community.
